Suggestions Needed!

I'm looking for clever ideas here so if you have any, throw 'em down this way. Okay for my shows I usually like to have freebies for the kids. Usually it's a bowl of candy but sometimes it's a bowl of bracelets. Now they're just cheap little stretchy bracelets with plastic beads & skulls but hey I like to make them if I have the time. It's fun to watch kids as their eyes light up when you tell them to pick one out for free. Kids are cool like that. What is totally NOT cool is the fact that the adults will help themselves too! I mean c'mon...they are plastic for cripesake! But it happens all the time. So how do I post something tasteful (yes, tasteful for tacky adults) but still make it crystal clear that these are for the KIDS? Help!

Well Pam, why not have two bowls, one for adults and one for kids and just label them. This way you don't feel bad either way. Just a suggestion. I bet it is a lot of fun at you art shows. Hey have fun and sell, sell, sell.

One idea would be to only bring it out when a kid approaches; offer it directly to them, "You can have one if you like."

Or, uh, "Bracelets are free to those who are not yet paying taxes" or, "Free for children, because they have the best manners" or, "The joy of a child who receives a gift is contagious! Plus, these won't fit grown-ups!"

And there's an idea, too....you could stop an adult by saying, "I'm sorry, these are sized for children, and I need to make sure I don't run out before the end of the show."

I'm totally brainstorming, so, free advice is worth what you pay for it.

I don't have a suggestion because I would probably be one of the rude adults trying to snag one. I love platic bracelets!

I would just make a sign that says "HEY KIDS...TAKE ONE!" I'm not very creative :(

These plastic braclets are lots of fun,
They are only for CHILDREN not everyone!
So if your a kid and like what you see,
Pick one out, for YOU its FREE!

Your Welcome!

Free for children only! :)

OMG!! I guess EVERYBODY likes a freebie, huh? If it were me and I was doing a give-away for kids, I would probably post a sign that says something like, "Free bracelets for kids 12 and under". I would make sure the sign was simple, easy to read and big. Sometimes people just don't get it! Nice idea though that you do the freebie for the kids. You could always slap the adult hands that reach for one!
